Tin Whistle workshop with Mary Donegan from 11.00 am -12.30 in the Allihies Schoolhouse. Tin whistle players of all ages are welcome to attend the workshop in which Mary will teach one of Michael Dwyer's compositions. Mary plays with Reel Women who will play in Kevin O'Neill's Bar on Saturday night June 10th. She is a fine tin whistle player and a cousin to the Dwyer family. Workshop costs €5.

Our annual Tin Whistle competition will also take place on Sat 10th June at 1.00 pm in the Allihies Schoolhouse. Cost €5. Our judge this year will be Mary Bergin, renowned tin whistle player, who will also play tin whistle at the concert on Saturday evening at 8.30 pm in Allihies Copper Mine Museum.
You don't need to book our workshops or competition, just turn up!
Competition Categories are as follows:
9 & under - play 1 tune.
12 & under - play 2 tunes.
15 & under - play 2 tunes.
This will be followed by a slow air competition for all of the above categories.
